Lynne Azarchi (Class of 2012)
Executive Director
Kidsbridge Tolerance Museum

Lynne Azarchi Lynne was born September 13, 1953 in Trenton, NJ. When she graduated from college and went to her first job interview, she was asked her typing speed. She was offended by the question. "I worked hard to find a job where I could use my mind and be more than someone's typist," says Lynne. "I believe as a woman that I have had to work harder and prove myself more than a man."

Lynne received her MBA from Columbia University and has devoted the past thirty years as a management and marketing professional within the nonprofit sector. A creative thinker, Lynne is known for her innovative strategies and her ability to build consensus and motivate communities around ideas requiring social change.

Lynne conceived and created the Kidsbridge Tolerance Museum, located on campus and partnering with The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). Each year, elementary and middle school youth interact with education and psychology undergraduates, supervised by TCNJ professors. College students and retired seniors volunteer as docents in the Museum (earning community service hours). The jewel in the Kidsbridge crown is the Tolerance Museum, but two additional important Kidsbridge programs include: Weekly at-risk youth life skills programs for elementary and middle school youth in Trenton, and an annual competition for youth & adult community service. Lynne also oversees the efforts of board members and volunteers for the Kidsbridge Gala, the major fund-raiser held every fall.

Lynne is the heart and soul of Kidsbridge; there is no one who works harder or is more passionate about spreading the Kidsbridge message. To sample Lynne’s commitment, check out her blog. Also visit the Kidsbridge Event website and the Kidsbridge website.
